Read. Feel. Imagine
Some stories begin with a question that is difficult to set aside. The Cloud-Harvester’s Net introduces one such situation and invites readers to discover what lies behind it. A crew collecting condensed moisture from high altitude clouds catches a solid metallic object suspended within a dense vapor pocket. The unusual world is introduced through a clear central problem that gives readers a reason to explore further. The description stays close to the supplied story premise: it introduces the central situation, the main point of uncertainty and the kind of choices or discoveries that shape the opening. Rather than revealing an ending, it leaves the central question open so readers can experience the events as they unfold. The setting and the key detail in the premise give this story its own identity within imaginative fiction stories. The opening episode, “The Heavy Fog,” establishes the starting point for the story. The opening chapter gives readers the essential situation without requiring them to know another story in advance.
